Extra Mail Features


We have the ability to processes Delivery Confirmation and Signature Conformation mail right from our mailing meters.  Any mail going Priority may have Delivery Confirmation added to it for no additional cost.  All First Class Mail that you would like a Signature Conformation on will incur an additional charge.


Mailing with Economy


MailTech staff will happily sit down and visit with departmental mailers to discuss postal and shipping developments and present mailing solutions, which will allow you to economize on costs during the coming fiscal year. Please call MailTech at 742-2286 if you would like to set up a meeting to discuss how to economize on your postal and shipping budget.


Commercial Carrier Supplies


MailTech has on hand shipping supplies for all TTU approved commercial carriers (FedEx, and UPS).  If your department feels you should use pre-printed air bills versus the internet or MailTech's internal form MailTech can issue you pre-printed air bills from the carriers.  Just give MailTech a call at 2-2286 or e-mail MailTech@ttu.edu to request your needed shipping supplies.


Annual Mail Stop Fees


In September all departments wanting to receive campus mail and USPS mail will pay a flat fee for that service.  This fee does not include postage on mail, campus mail over fifty pieces, special mailings, or shipping charges through any one of our Commercial Carriers.  Place a TechFim account on all mail outs, expecet pieces of mail going to campus mail stops.


Hints for FedEx International Shipping


Currently FedEx does not offer MailTech a discount on International Economy Services.  MailTech's Sr. Business Assistant noticed a few departments choicing this option.  MailTech found out later they choose the option, because it sounded cheaper, when in fact the charges come out higher than International Priority.  MailTech will continue to work with our FedEx Rep to obtain a discount on International Economy Services; when and if  MailTech succeed in obtaining a discount, MailTech will let everyone know.
